WBPSC English Stenographer Recruitment 2026

The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has announced the recruitment for 266 English Stenographer positions for the year 2026. This recruitment drive covers two schedules, Schedule A and Schedule B, with 146 and 120 vacancies respectively. Candidates interested in these permanent government positions must possess a Madhyamik (10th) pass certificate, computer knowledge, and an English typing speed of 30 words per minute. Additionally, proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Bengali is mandatory for all applicants. The selection process involves three stages: a General English examination (Paper I), a dictation and transcription test (Paper II), and a computer typing test (Paper III), followed by medical examination and document verification. The pay scale for these positions is aligned with Level-9 of the W.B.S (ROPA) Rules 2019, ranging from Rs. 28,900 to Rs. 74,500.
