About this Notification

The Haryana Government, through its Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, has introduced several credit-linked schemes for 2026 aimed at promoting self-employment in the rural sector. These initiatives provide financial assistance, including loans and subsidies, to unemployed youth, farmers, and families from General and SC categories for establishing dairy, piggery, sheep, goat, and poultry farming units. The schemes are designed to strengthen the rural economy by encouraging modern animal husbandry practices and increasing milk production across the state.

Eligible applicants must be permanent residents of Haryana aged between 18 and 60 years. Depending on the specific scheme, subsidies range from 25% to 90% of the unit cost. For instance, SC category beneficiaries can receive up to 90% subsidy for specific animal units, while general category applicants are eligible for up to 25% subsidy on piggery, sheep, and goat farming. Additionally, the government offers incentives for rearing high-yield Murrah buffaloes and specific indigenous cow breeds. Interested candidates are required to have a suitable location for animal husbandry and must possess necessary documentation, including a Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP ID) and relevant insurance for livestock.
